Master Mariners:
Available to all Maxum models
|
|
Our Master Mariners know all there is to know about their boats and share their knowledge with other owners of the same model boats, They are the repository of knowledge about the boat. The smaller the boat, the easier it is to know. Some of our Master Mariners get E-mailed monthly, some once a quarter. Usually they are people who have owned boats before and plan on keep this particular boat for a while.
There are still a few models open, are you interested in becoming a Master Mariner?
You are always invited to ask me, James, any questions, BilleGates@aol.com. I am hell on wheels with a 4600 SCB and 450C Diesels. But, when it comes to a 3700 SCR and 400 hp gas engines I'm a lot less than competent, here's where our Master Mariners shine. All of the Owners, Dealers, and US Marine have a common goal here, to make, deliver and operate the finest and safest vessels available anywhere. This cannot be done in a vacuum and it requires all of us working together. I know it can work, and I know it will be done. It requires that the plant and our dealers deliver their boats to "build book" initial quality, and then by a partnership of the owners, dealers and US Marine, maintain their continued trouble free and safe operation. As an owner, I happen to like that trouble free part.
With that said, here are your partners in boating who have volunteered their expertise as Master Mariners: While were at it, I will include any Maxum owner of any size or model Maxum willing to work with other Maxum owners here. Please, CC me on any correspondence, BilleGates@aol.com and put "Maxum" in the subject area, James

Francis's 2100 SC Photo Site Link:
About 3 years back, my wife suggested that we get back into boating. About 30 years ago we lived in Annapolis BK, (before kids) we sailed, and owned our own as well as chartered sailboats from 20 to 50 feet. Now living in Northern Virginia, Sail just didn't seem practical. Oldest son likes to ski, youngest son likes to fish, Mom wants to sip Cosmopolitans in a sheltered cove and yak with friends. And Dad, well he just likes to go fast. I'm pretty handy and have taken and passed Coast Guard classes so, along with being ex-Navy, Seamanship was not a problem. The boat is light enough to trailer, yet heavy enough to take off-shore as I did this summer when we brought the boat to Ocean City Maryland for the summer vacation. This sort of adventure requires the owner to be Seaman/Trucker and I would be happy to share experiences and lessons learned with others. Franco2fly@aol.com
